Cooper American Aviator Leather Jacket

This vintage Cooper "American Aviator" a-2 style flight jacket is a classic piece of Americana, featuring a rugged, dark chocolate genuine leather shell with a distinctive distressed finish. The front is detailed with traditional dual entry patch pockets and a colourful chest patch depicting a "King and Ace of Hearts" playing card motif. The back showcases a bold, large scale graphic of a WW11 pilot standing before a propeller plane, flanked by "American Aviator" lettering in a sunburst gradient. The jackets most unique feature is the interior "escape map" lining. It features a detailed silk screened topographical map of Western Europe, including France and Spain. These maps were historically used by pilots to navigate behind enemy lines. Complete with era appropriate epaulets and ribbed knit cuffs, this jacket is a perfect blend of military history and vintage street style. Made in Korea.
